FlipShot
A downloadable game for Windows and Android
Greetings, folks!
I just wanted to publish this thing somewhere, at least for a chance to be seen, I guess..? This is my hobby's project, so there aren't much of ambitions, but I'd really appreciate it if someone'll just play it or give feedback. After all, it's more pleasant to make a game if you know someone'll test it.
Okay, about the game itself:
It's a platformer game with a slime as the main character. And that's why you aren't able to move normally, only jump in one direction. But you're able to compensate this lack of control... Because you have a gun with which you can shoot in mid-air. Your ammo magazine doesn't last forever, but it will reload every time the slime is grounded. Your slime is quite light, so the shot will push it in the oposite direction. Also the slime is very bouncy, so it'll bounce off any surface if it's not spiky.
Your goal is to reach as far as you can without being pierced. To complete one room you need to pop every circle in there by shooting them. When the room will get empty, the slime will recover 2 HP, go into saw mode and be able to destroy dark stones to get into the next room. For every enemy you'll get scores that will be converted in capsules with ratio 3:1 after your death. From those capsules you could gain recources, such as coins or dust, weapons, doublers or triplers.
Basic Control:
- Tap on ground makes the slime jump. It also works when the slime has impulse, you can jump off ground to move without using your ammos.
- Tap in mid-air makes the slime shoot in the direction of your tap, spending ammos. Some weapons have special effects on hold.
All needed content descriptions are in community page.
Also, there's a huge amount of lore behind this simple slimy game, but I'm just not sure how to put it there properly..
